Our bodies are like machines and machines need to be cleaned once in a while. If they’re not cleaned, they become sluggish and don't work right. In the case of the human body, the body needs to be cleansed because toxins tend to build up. These toxins usually build up because of environmental influences and the foods that are being consumed. Humans face toxins every single day in one form or another. This repeated exposure is accumulative and leads to a number of symptoms that can be quite taxing.
These toxins find a home in the cells, the muscles, and in the tissues of the body. Eventually, the body becomes very overwhelmed by this and it begins to show symptoms that are quite obvious. Those symptoms include weight gain, cold and flu symptoms, fatigue, and so much more. A person simply doesn't feel well all around. Unfortunately, a 2005 study revealed that offspring are inheriting these toxins from their mother. It was once thought that a fetus was safe, but now babies are being born with the toxins in their bodies. It is feared that the generation that is having children now will outlive their children because of this.
Causes of Toxins
There is pollution in our air and water, there are non-stick substances on our cookware that is toxic, there are pesticides on a lot of our foods, animals are fed human growth hormones to increase their milk production, drinking water is full of chlorine and other chemicals, household cleaners are everything but natural, personal care products contain chemicals, plastics use less than favorable materials, prescription drugs are not always safe, dry cleaned clothing holds the chemicals within the fibers, and such things as dental fillings contain mercury. All of these things are the causes of toxins within the body and they have been taking an even higher toll on the body for the past 60 years.
Over time, these toxins build up and a person starts to feel less than normal. The change in a person's health is very evident, but they may not realize that what they are feeling has to do with the toxins that they are exposed to every single day. If you are a person who suddenly starts to feel bad without any other medical explanation, then you’re probably experiencing the effects of the toxins in your body.
Cleansing the Body
Diet and lifestyle changes can improve a person's immunity so that they’re not so sensitive to the toxins. By implementing these diet and lifestyle changes, a person has a better chance of surviving the long-term effects of toxins on the body. At least this serves as a viable solution until something is done that further cleans the environment. Efforts are underway now, but the world still has a long way to go.
As for who can and who does cleanse, a lot of people do. They do it through different methods. They may take a day or a week and eat just raw foods while consuming large amounts of water. The body already naturally cleanses itself, but sometimes it falters when there are large amounts of toxins. That's usually when an individual feels ill, so that is when it is necessary to give it a bit of a push. For those with such conditions as diabetes, it is important to talk to a physician first. A physician may not suggest anything such as a cleansing fast to rid the body of the toxins, but may sometimes suggest that the diabetic consume juices instead of just water. This still helps get rid of the toxins within the body.
When is a Good Time to Cleanse?
Don't wait until you feel bad. You can cleanse your body once per month if you wish. However, it is sticking to a proper diet. Some individuals find that a diet with nothing but raw foods helps them to keep their bodies cleansed. This means they consume mostly vegetables, fruits, sprouts, seaweed, nuts, beans, other raw products. They find that they don't get that feeling of needing to be cleansed because they’re being proactive in it all of the time. These foods contain the nutrients the body needs to stay healthy, which means the natural cleansing processes take care of the toxins that enter the body through environmental influences and not food consumption.
Just make sure that you do not disrupt the cleansing process. This could be a bad idea because not all of the toxins are going to be emitted from your body. Some individuals use such things as cleansing herbs as well, which they may do for 2 to 3 weeks until they notice differences in bowel movements and an increase in energy. After that, they may revert to their raw food diet. How a person cleanses depends on the person, but it is important that those with health problems consult with their physician before embarking upon a cleansing regimen.
To your cleanse,
