In this world there is great variety of people; they are all our brothers and sisters sharing the same dream, the same future, and the same earth. Among them we like some people, and we do not like some other people. We love some people, and we hate some people. Some are our friends, and some are our enemies. When we are with those whom we prefer as our friends, we are in comfort and pleasure, and when we are with those who are our enemies, we are in tension and hardship. We consider people who give us sweet words of consultation and loving supportive care, to be your friend; but if we live only with them we become weak, like a plant in a greenhouse. When the snow and the storms come, we wither and die. On the other hand, the enemy who accuses and attacks us makes us cautious in action, deliberate in thought, and stronger in our abilities. We develop our strength in body and mind because of the existence of our enemy. We should be grateful to our enemies. We should be thankful for their antagonism; because they are antagonistic, they are complementary to us. They see what we cannot see. They have what we do not have. They know what we do not know. Therefore, make your enemy as your best friend. If we change our enemy into our friend, we can realize our happiness as well as our enemy's happiness.
