The Flu and How to Prevent it?

The Flu can be a very serous problem if you don't know how to get through it. There have even been instances where people have been hospitalized or worse. If you don't know about the flu or how to prevent it you may have a hard time. Here are a few ideas to help get you started when you are dealing with the flu.

What is the Flu?

The flu is an infectious disease that attacks mammals and birds. It's spread though coughing, and sneezing as well as though the air in common places. You may notice that you are experiencing many cold like symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, vomiting, and other unpleasant symptoms.

What Causes The Flu?

There are many things that may cause a bout with the flu. One of the most common causes is through the transmission from person to person. This can be, as mentioned above, from other people that may have been infected with this virus. You may not know that they have it when you come in contact with them. They may not even know that they have this disease and not know that they may be spreading it.

What Can I Do?

There are some things that you can do to help prevent yourself from becoming infected with the flu. You can stay away from people that may be coughing, and most importantly, wash your hands. If you do these kinds of things, then you may be able to prevent your own body from infection. Remember, prevention is always best.

Raw Foods That Can Help Combat Flu Symptoms

There are many foods that can help when you are dealing with flu symptoms. These foods can be anything from fruits to many vegetables. Some may even help prevent the flu all together. Some of these include:

  • Apples – Apples help by boosting the vitamin c in the body so that you are more immune to most viruses and if you do get them you will not have to deal with it as long as if you didn't do anything for it.
  • Oranges – Oranges also have a high amount of vitamin c in them so they can help with the effects of this kind of virus. This can make you feel better or not even get it at all.
  • Spinach – Spinach can help you by adding nutrients such as iron and many other minerals that will help to build up your immune system. This helps you when you are fighting this kind of virus or any other kind of diseases.

As you can see there are many ways to care for yourself when you are fighting the flu and before you may have contracted the virus. If you take your time and do what you feel is right then you will have a much better chance of getting rid of the flu and keeping it away.
