Meet Gabrielle Gingras

Gabrielle was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada in 1979 to an English Canadian mother and a French Canadian father who were both interested at that time in the natural health movement.   Gabrielle grew up in Quebec and became perfectly bilingual, attending a French high school as a native English speaker. Although Gabrielle's parents separated when she was young, her mother continued to explore the natural health movement as well as macrobiotics and alternative health therapies, which had a profound influence on Gabrielle's upbringing.

At college and university, Gabrielle studied dance and English as a second language and obtained diplomas in both.   Fascinated with other cultures, Gabrielle's teaching degree allowed her to travel the world and during this time Gabrielle began the discipline of yoga as well as studying alternative health therapies.    Courses in nutrition have always been a part of her life, and Gabrielle has worked in and managed restaurants in Canada and throughout the world.   A passion for food, presentation and the effect of food's ingredients on our body has led Gabrielle to discover the raw food movement over 2 years ago in Japan, where she now resides.
