Coriander Seed

Introduction

*Coriander seeds, also known as cilantro seeds, are the dry fruits of the coriander plant, Corinadrum sativum, of the parsley family.

*These are small and spindle-shaped, and are yellowish-brown in color.

*These seeds have a citrus aroma and a nutty, spicy and warm flavor.

*The seeds are used either whole or ground to a powder and used as a spice in soups, stews, curries, etc.

*Buying and storage: Select fresh, healthy-looking, evenly-sized and evenly-colored seeds without any visible holes, discoloration, or rancid smell. Store them in airtight containers in a cupboard away from light and heat. Whole coriander seeds stay fresh longer than ground coriander.

Is it raw?
